Purpose of Position With assistance on smaller or a less volume of projects, plans, directs, and coordinates activities and goals or objectives of programs to accomplish within prescribed time frame. Follows the Database QA Test Process, interprets and resolves customer discrepancies for databases. Coordinates physical changes to databases; and tests, and implements environmental database by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

The Test Engineer will use applicable charts, diagrams, photos or other data to confirm 3D modeled scenes and models conform to the required standards.

Follows the Database QA Test Process, interprets customer discrepancies and ensures the modeling team has resolved the issues.

Will create new internal bug tracking tickets for any other problems or discrepancies found while testing.

Minimum Education Associates degree in Graphics or Engineering

Minimum Experience 2 years through a combination of work experience and education.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Experience in 3D graphics or video game production a plus.

Experience in Flight Simulation industry a plus.

Familiar with scripting and basic programming a plus.

Familiar with Linux a plus.

KEY SKILLS:

Extensive problem solving skills and experience.

Strong research skills.

Ability to give constructive criticism and feedback to artists.

Strong communication skills especially between multiple disciplines such as artists and software engineers.

Must be able to work individually for extended periods.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows and Outlook software.

Physical Demands and Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
