Sentara Heart Hospital located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a Registered Nurse – Unit Coordinator for the Cardiac Care Unit (CICU). The RN Unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department.
Location & Shift City/State: Norfolk, VA Work Shift: Third (Nights)
Cardiac ICU (CICU) Responsibilities
10 beds on the 2nd floor
Patient population: cardiac non-surgical cases, pulmonary hypertension, heart attack, heart failure, sepsis, shock, and other ICU-level care needs
CICU nurses are part of the hospital's Medical Response Team
Education & Licensure
Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) required, or MSN
Virginia RN License, Virginia or Compact/Multi-State Eligible
BLS within 90 days of hire
Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire
Experience Position requires 18 months of RN experience.
