Location & Hybrid Working Available Location:

Alpharetta, GA

Hybrid Working:

The role is split between the Alpharetta office (minimum 3 days per week) and remote work (up to 2 days per week). Any changes to work location must follow the appropriate process outlined in the handbook.

What You’ll Do As the Sr. Manager, Data Warehouse Engineering, you will design, manage, and maintain Azure/AWS data warehouse projects. You will also manage a team of data analysts to deliver meaningful visualizations for statistical modeling, prediction, and trend analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and lead implementation of lakehouse solutions

Design, build, and optimize scalable lakehouse architectures on Azure, integrating data warehouse and data lake paradigms.

Lead end‑to‑end data pipelines using Microsoft Data Factory (ADF) and Microsoft Fabric.

Establish frameworks and best practices for data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.

Manage and mentor data engineering teams

Direct, coach, and develop a high‑performing team of data engineers and analysts.

Foster a culture of knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and innovation.

Oversee resource planning, performance management, and skill development initiatives.

Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders

Engage with leaders, data scientists, analysts, and IT teams to translate data requirements into technical solutions.

Continuous improvement and innovation

Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks within the Microsoft ecosystem (Databricks, Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Power BI, etc.).

Identify and implement process improvements to optimize performance, reduce costs, and accelerate time‑to‑insight.

Champion automation, CI/CD, and DevOps principles in data engineering workflows.

Data architecture and engineering excellence

Translate complex business requirements into scalable data models and pipelines using Fabric’s capabilities (Dataflows, Pipelines, Notebooks, Lakehouses).

Define standards for data modeling, version control, and documentation across projects.

Integrate on‑premises and cloud‑native data sources, ensuring seamless data movement and transformation.

Who You Are

Passionate about data warehousing and engineering, enthusiastic about serving purpose‑driven organizations.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience (10+ years).

8+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or analytics, including at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.

6+ years of experience modeling, querying, and analyzing large datasets using SQL.

6+ years of ETL/ELT experience.

Strong background in Fabric and Azure development, including PySpark Notebooks, T‑SQL, C#, REST API ingestion, and HTML.

Comfortable building, integrating, and troubleshooting pipelines.

Self‑starter who can roll up sleeves and drive solutions independently.

Superior communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities; able to bridge technical and business conversations.

Track record of mentoring and developing technical talent.

Azure, Microsoft Fabric, or other relevant certifications highly desirable.

Physical Considerations

Ability to work in a general office environment.

Ability to handle extended periods of computer‑based work, including telephone.

Travel Considerations

Domestic and/or international travel required, estimated up to 5%.
