Job Summary This position is responsible for installing, supporting, and maintaining Network Infrastructure environments for all mobile and network‑attached devices. The role requires expertise in installing, configuring, deploying, refreshing, upgrading, troubleshooting, and maintaining network routers, firewalls, load balancers, IDS/IPS, switches, and related systems in WAN/LAN/SAN/Cloud environments. The engineer will assist in researching and testing new hardware and software, and collaborate closely with other IT support departments.
Responsibilities
Install, support, and maintain network/system infrastructure hardware and software.
Install and support network technologies such as Cisco routers, switches, IOS/NX‑OS, VPN, Palo Alto & Cisco firewalls, SD‑WAN, Cisco Meraki wireless, DNS, DHCP, hybrid AD/Azure domains.
Monitor network usage and utilization.
Ensure cost‑effective and efficient use of routing protocols such as IGRP, EIGRP, BGP, & OSPF.
Ensure all IT equipment complies with industry security standards.
Analyze and resolve network faults related to routing issues.
Work closely with other departments and collaborate with other IT staff.
Suggest IT solutions aligning with business goals and objectives.
Analyze and resolve faults ranging from major network system crashes to routing issues.
Undertake routine preventative measures and implement, maintain, and monitor network security for all network zones (cloud, DMZ, LAN, WAN, & external).
Configure and administer Cisco routers, switches, & firewalls; analyze inter and intra office application traffic data.
Configure and administer site‑to‑site static, dynamic, and remote access VPN tunnels.
Ensure proper installation of IT hardware, software, T1, PRI, SIP, multilink, & Ethernet data/voice circuits.
Experience
Network engineering: 5 years (Required)
Routing protocols: 5 years (Required)
Switching: 5 years (Required)
VPN: 5 years (Required)
Firewall: 5 years (Required)
Qualifications
CCNA required
High School education
