Starting Salary:
Depending on experience:
With Bachelor's degree: $68,000-$71,000
With Master's degree: $71,000-$74,000
With CPA: $74,000-$77,000
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct financial analysis and internal control reviews related to fraud allegations.
Write interview memos and comprehensive investigative reports for prosecuting agencies, legislative bodies, and the public.
Analyze financial investigation materials and apply judgment.
Act as a liaison with criminal prosecutors and law enforcement.
Testify in front of grand juries and at trials or hearings.
Assist other divisions with fraud issues and concerns.
Provide fraud detection and deterrence training to internal personnel and outside agencies.
Conduct high-risk reviews for outside governmental entities.
Work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Be thorough, precise, accurate, and detail-oriented.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred.
3+ years experience in law enforcement working on white collar crime or conducting financial analysis and internal controls related to fraud.
Interest in public service and improving state government.
Strong analytical, research, critical thinking, time management, and communication skills.
Interest in obtaining a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation.
Well-developed interpersonal skills.
Pre-Employment Requirements: If driving is required for the job, a valid Driver’s License is necessary.
All new hires must complete the E-Verify process.
