This position assists attorneys with the administration and preparation of all trademark documentation related to client files and legal matters.
Essential Job Functions
Assist in the prosecution and enforcement of trademarks domestically and internationally.
Review, prepare, and file responses to Office Actions and Notices of Suspension; prepare and file Statements of Use, Extension Requests, Declarations of Use, Renewals, and other requests.
Perform trademark searches, review watch notices, monitor third-party trademark use, and assist in enforcement efforts.
Prepare and file foreign trademark applications, including via the Madrid Protocol and directly with foreign counsel.
Correspond with foreign counsel throughout prosecution stages and review foreign IP laws and requirements for clients.
Communicate with clients regarding trademark matters.
Manage and maintain trademark docket in Foundation IP for multiple clients and attorneys, including preparing reports and communicating upcoming deadlines.
Assist in ownership transfers and recordations domestically and internationally.
Record billable time in the billing system for completed tasks.
Advise on urgent matters as needed.
Working Conditions
Use of office equipment such as computers, telephones, and copiers.
Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
Sitting and performing computer-related activities for extended periods.
