Technical Support Engineer – Xylem

– The Technical Support Engineer will provide AMI/AMR software and hardware support for three main utility markets, ensuring rapid response and customer satisfaction. Core Responsibilities

Perform software/hardware phone support and on‑site support (as needed) for AMR/AMI systems. Deliver telephone support with reliable response times, call escalation procedures, and customer satisfaction focus. Handle day‑to‑day Technical Service requests from Sales, Distributors, PM, and external customers using AMR/AMI systems, targeting 8‑10 support calls per day. Troubleshoot customer issues using existing knowledge, current experience, or Salesforce knowledge‑management tools. Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional conduct. Travel up to 10% of the time for project support, field issues, or internal training. Participate in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities. Perform additional duties as required by organizational needs. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Administration, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience with intermediate UNIX/Linux command line, MySQL, SQL, and basic network troubleshooting. Ability to work non‑standard hours Monday‑Friday, including rotating on‑call schedule. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for phone support of software/hardware products. Self‑starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision.
