Overview

Riptide Technology has a great opportunity for a Senior Systems Administrator II - Generalist to support our government customer based in Springfield, VA. This position is required to be onsite. This role requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD TS/SCI clearance, with a CI Poly preferred. The ability to obtain a CI poly is required. Base pay range: $165,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr Responsibilities

Configure, troubleshoot, administer, and maintain the organization\'s Windows, Linux, and Citrix server environments. Monitor and administer the department\'s access and transfer cross-domain solutions (CDS). Develop and deploy automated mechanisms to enhance operational efficiency across a variety of technologies, applications, and services. Maintain and utilize system configuration and monitoring tools to analyze performance and remediate concerns (e.g., Active Directory, MECM, SolarWinds). Draft requests for change (RFC) and analyze submissions from other departments. Develop technical documentation including diagrams, standard operating procedures, workflows, and run books.

Qualifications

5 or more years of progressive, hands-on experience maintaining Enterprise information systems as a systems administrator or systems engineer. Expertise deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining Windows, Linux, and Citrix environments across an enterprise. Operating and maintaining access and transfer cross-domain solutions (e.g., Secureview, Trusted Thin Client, Trusted Gateway System, X-ARBITOR, high speed guard). Automating deployment and maintenance activities using custom scripts and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, Python). Applying and maintaining Government-standard security configurations based on SRGs and STIGs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences as well as senior-level executives. Must meet the minimum credential requirements for a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position as defined in Section 6, Table 3. System Administrator (451); Intermediate Level for SECNAV M-5239.2 compliance.

Required Education OR Certifications

Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited university; or Certifications: CompTIA Security+ CE; or GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC); or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP).

Required Security Clearance

U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret with SCI clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

Desired Qualifications

Experience engineering or administering IT devices, applications, and technologies (e.g., Cisco, Nutanix, VMware, Splunk, Trellix, Ivanti, ACAS, Rapid7). Understanding of ServiceNow functionality, capabilities, and integration points. Familiarity with DevSecOps concepts, implementation, and operations in an enterprise environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $165,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year. Opportunities for annual performance-based bonuses. Benefits include 401(k) with a company contribution equivalent to 10% of salary (100% vested), company-paid dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance, employer-provided health insurance with 85% company-paid coverage, 6 weeks of annual paid time off, 12 weeks paid family leave, bereavement leave, military reserve duty differential pay for qualifying events.
