OVERVIEW The Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s cloud infrastructure and on-premises systems. This role ensures IT infrastructure stability, security, and performance. Key responsibilities include system administration, infrastructure management, security, storage solutions, backup and recovery, and capacity planning. Effective documentation, collaboration, and communication are essential for success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
Oversee virtualization technologies such as Azure, Azure Stack HCI, Azure Local, and VMware.
Utilize Azure Cloud Technologies including Azure Arc and Azure Virtual Desktops.
Implement and manage storage technologies like NAS, SAN, and disks.
Use Azure Files for storage solutions.
Manage backup solutions.
Support collaboration tools such as Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, and Zoom.
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in infrastructure administration or similar roles.
Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Knowledge of hybrid infrastructure technologies (Azure Stack HCI, Azure Local).
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Solid understanding of Linux and Windows server administration.
Experience with storage management solutions (NAS, SAN).
Experience in backup and recovery planning.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Basic networking knowledge for incident troubleshooting.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Advanced cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect).
Experience with automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible).
Knowledge of security standards (ISO 27001, NIST).
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git).
Strong project management and leadership skills.
Basic networking knowledge preferred.
Experience with DHCP, certificate management, PowerShell, Terraform/Bicep, and patch management preferred.
Strong documentation skills.
The salary range is $100,000-$135,000 annually, with potential variations based on experience, location, and performance. Additional benefits include performance bonuses, long-term incentives, PTO, and other progressive perks.
