Job Title: Senior Contracts Specialist
Reporting directly to the EMIP DVP Finance, the Senior Contracts Specialist will support AMETEK’s EMIP Division. This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with members of the Law Department as necessary, as well as independently. The Senior Contracts Specialist will ensure that: Review and negotiation of commercial agreements (including NDAs, master supply agreements, and PO T&Cs) for the EMIP business units are conducted in accordance with AMETEK standards. All required documentation is maintained per customer and AMETEK requirements. Serve as a resource to EMIP business units for general contracting matters. Major Duties:
Review, draft, negotiate, and edit commercial contracts and terms, such as Confidentiality/Non-Disclosure Agreements, Sales/Supply/Purchase Agreements, Sales Representative and Distributor Agreements, Consulting Agreements, and Master Agreements. Work with business teams to ensure agreement terms align with key business points and risk mitigation standards. Understand company contracting policies and identify commercial and legal risks. Manage and update form documents to comply with legal and operational requirements. Investigate and resolve contractual issues and disputes, escalating to the Law Department as appropriate. Assess business and legal risks and facilitate appropriate risk mitigation. Escalate legal and factual issues to assist in resolution. Coordinate with Risk Management regarding contractual insurance requirements. Work with Corporate legal to ensure all actions are consistent with legal requirements. Education/Experience:
Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or a licensed Attorney. 5+ years of experience in drafting, editing, and negotiating commercial contracts. Manufacturing industry experience is a plus but not required. Customer service experience to support internal EMIP clients. Experience with Export Control Regulations is a plus but not required. Knowledge/Skills Required:
Sales or customer service experience with significant customer contact. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills. Proficient in Word; experienced in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams. Ability to handle high volume, work under deadlines, and manage multiple priorities. In-person or hybrid work environment. Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) is desirable but not required. Compensation
