A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney for their Insurance Defense practice group in Austin, TX; Dallas, TX; and Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing, research, and litigation skills and be licensed to practice in Texas. Duties
Conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action. Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs. Meet an annual billable requirement of 1950 hours. Represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and in depositions. Draft and respond to discovery requests. Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses. Prepare for and attend trials. Travel may be required. Requirements
7+ years' experience in Insurance Defense; First Party Insurance experience is a plus. J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school. Admitted to practice in Texas; admission in other states is a plus. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills. Solid research abilities and strong written and oral communication skills. Strong work ethic with the ability to self-manage and work in a team environment. Prompt responsiveness to email and phone inquiries. Excellent client skills and telephone manner. Education
J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school. Certifications
Admitted to practice in Texas. Skills
