Senior Accounting Manager
Overview We are seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting operations with a focus on inventory, cost accounting, general ledger, and a purchase-order-driven accounts payable function. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys driving process improvements, managing a team, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Lead the monthly close process for operations, including variance analysis and review of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
Manage and mentor the accounts payable team while enhancing efficiency and streamlining processes.
Oversee month-end activities: accruals, lease accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations across the GL and sub-ledgers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflows and implement automation within inventory and cost accounting.
Maintain and refine internal accounting policies, controls, and documentation.
Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
5+ years of accounting experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of advanced Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience required.
NetSuite experience strongly preferred; SAP exposure is a plus.
CPA or MBA credentials highly valued.
