Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $80,000 to $95,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities
Manage the monthly accounting close process including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting Review gross potential rent and security deposit calculations and resolve discrepancies Reconcile property-related revenues, A/R ledgers, and fixed asset schedules Prepare financial statements, loan packages, and JV financial reports in accordance with requirements Collaborate with site teams to resolve ledger issues and respond to property management requests
Requirements
Demonstrate a solid understanding of GAAP and real estate accounting principles Apply strong attention to detail and organizational skills in managing priorities Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders Adapt to changing tasks and contribute to special accounting projects as needed Maintain responsiveness and customer orientation in a deadline-driven environment
Qualifications
Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration (preferred) Accumulate at least three years of residential real estate accounting experience Show proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with Yardi (preferred) Understand internal control concepts and financial reporting standards Exhibit flexibility, self-motivation, and a desire for continuous learning
