Will be involved in all aspects of teaching these classes, including lesson planning, grading, classroom management, counseling, instruction, supervision, and extracurricular activities. Teach the above mentioned classes and undertake such extra-curricular activities and supervisory duties as administration may assign. By precept and example the employee will seek to uphold Christ as Friend and Lord and will endeavor to lead students to a similar understanding. Maintain careful records of attendance and scholastic performance in the register and grade book for that purpose; make course outlines and lesson plans as prescribed by the administration. Maintain proper control of the students’ behavior in the classroom, school grounds and premises in accordance with the rules and regulations stipulated in the Handbook. Maintain neatness and cleanliness in the classroom and school grounds; create visual aids, posters and displays in bulletin boards, thus supporting a positive learning environment; be responsible for janitorial work in and around classroom and undertake supervisory duties during the lunch hour and at other times in rotation with other teachers. Attend regular staff meetings as scheduled and other meetings and events even after school; join in‑service sessions and workshops in order to maintain or increase his/her level of teaching skills. Undertake any other duties and responsibilities considered as part of a normal load; work in harmony with school programs and activities outlined in the Staff Handbook/Bulletin, and other directives set forth by the Board and administration. Regularly attend weekend church services and assist in church programs according to talents and abilities. (Sabbath School classes for all ages that need leaders and assistants, Pathfinder club, youth meetings during the week, door-to-door, prison ministry, … the ministries that can be joined in are extensive and many more could be led by you!) Acceptable Dress: Men teach and attend church in long pants (no jeans), but may wear shorts off campus or after school. Men must wear collared shirts to church meetings. Women always wear loose fitting skirts or dresses past the knee, except they may wear modest shorts, slacks or pants only while in their own living quarters. Unacceptable Dress: Women - Tight and/or short shorts are never acceptable, nor sleeveless or sheer blouses or dresses. A conservative hairstyle is preferred for men and women. Ebeye is a small, heavily-populated island in the Kwajalein Atoll within the country of the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Our 3-story PreK-12 school, serving over 300 students, is located in a small, fenced compound with an ocean view toward the east and within walking distance to the 2-story staff housing to the south. Visitors land on the nearby island of Kwajalein and then are transported by ferry to the pier at Ebeye. Teachers might want to bring crayons or bulletin board decorations. Contact principal. Destination City: Ebeye, Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) Travel from Airport to Destination: Will be met by school personnel after being transported to the docks. Medical Recommendations: Go to www.cdc.gov and click Travelers' Health, then choose your destination recommendations. Visa Type: Only needed by non-USA citizens Who Applies: Applicant Who Applies: Only needed by non-USA citizens Police Clearance Required Child Protection Clearance Required All non-USA citizens need HIV/Health clearance and an entry permit and should contact the school right away for instructions. Send copies of passport, itinerary and transcript of records. You must provide your travel itinerary to: 1) your place of service, 2) your Home/Sending Division so they can request insurance for you, and 3) your sending organization (if you have one). To do this, please log on to your AVS website account where you can email it automatically to the organizations previously mentioned. Visa/Travel Details: All non-USA citizens MUST be responsible for any Transit Visa (US/Guam, Philippines or any other country) for their airline ticket stops or layovers en route to their final destination. Direct any questions to the principal regarding any Entry Permit requirements. If needed, GMM can furnish a letter to take to your embassy. When flying to Ebeye, you will land at the Kwajalein U.S. Military base where you will need to clear security. Then you will need to take the free shuttle to the boat dock for Ebeye (the principal will meet you at the boat dock) and you will take a 30 min boat ride to Ebeye.
