Cellular and Genetic Medicine Duties & Responsibilities
A postdoctoral fellow position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Xiang-Yang Wang in the Department of Cellular, Molecular, and Genetic Medicine, Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Medicine. The focus of this position will be to study the role of innate pattern recognition receptors and stress proteins/response in inflammation, cancer immunity and immunotherapy. Minimum Qualifications
Highly-motivated candidates with a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D in immunology, molecular and cellular biology, or a closely related field are appropriate to apply. Applicants should possess strong laboratory, analytical, interpersonal, and independent working skills. Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at VCU. Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with previous experience with mouse modeling/handling and flow cytometry are highly desirable. This is a restricted position with no set end date; continued employment is dependent upon project need, availability of funding, and performance. VCU is committed to hiring veterans! VCU will include a veteran's period(s) of military service in the calculation of their annual leave accrual rate. This may provide veterans with an increased leave accrual! Salary Range:
