Monday - Thursday, 5:00am-3:00pm and Friday - Sunday, 5:00am-3:00pm Location:
5370 S. Cicero Ave., Chicago, IL Job Summary: Farmer’s Fridge is on a mission to make it simple for everyone to eat well. We serve healthy, handcrafted meals and snacks from our growing network of 400+ software-enabled vending machines that we refer to as smart Fridges, and a new direct-to-consumer business. Competitive Salary & 401K company match that vests immediately upon participation Traditional benefits for full-time hourly – Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Short Term, and Long Term Disability Equity available to full-time employees after 1 year of employment Generous sick leave & PTO policy Up to 10 paid holidays Responsibilities: Prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes Setup workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items Safely utilize a variety of utensils including knives Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines Help keep the production facility clean and organized Follow all safety, GMP, and QSF policies/procedures Requirements: Previous experience in kitchen, food prep, or food service related work preferred Knowledge of various food prep methods, proper knife handling, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage preferred Able to stand and work for long periods of time (10-hour shifts) in a cold environment (around 40 degrees) and lift at least 50 lbs.
