The Director of Youth Ministries provides spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and program direction for middle and high school students, helping them grow in faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. This is a full-time position focused on: Building authentic relationships with youth and families. Leading creative, Christ-centered programs and worship experiences. Fostering an inclusive and spiritually safe environment. Equipping young people to live out their faith in church and community. Compensation is commensurate with experience, and includes health insurance, PTO, and additional benefits. Responsibilities

Lead Bible studies, devotionals, and worship gatherings tailored to youth. Teach with biblical depth and cultural relevance. Model a lifestyle of discipleship, prayer, and service. Relationship Building

Build genuine mentoring relationships with students. Communicate regularly with parents and families. Engage the broader church and community to reach new youth. Program Development & Implementation

Plan and lead weekly youth meetings, retreats, and mission opportunities. Create engaging activities that strengthen faith and community. Select and adapt curriculum consistent with Wesleyan theology. Recruit, train, and equip adult volunteers and youth leaders. Manage the youth ministry budget responsibly. Ensure compliance with Safe Sanctuary and church safety policies. Qualifications

A personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Experience working with youth in a ministry, teaching, or mentoring role. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Understanding of and alignment with United Methodist doctrine and mission. Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment. Willingness to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends). Additional Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate special events, mission trips, and retreats. Oversee Confirmation and other discipleship milestones. Collaborate with church staff to align youth ministry with the church’s mission. Represent the church professionally in all settings, including digital spaces.
