Sheriff’s Office Looking for Bay Area Theft Victims
On April 1, 2023, a vehicle burglary in the Lincoln Center Parking Lot in Stockton was reported to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office. Our Special Services Division initiated an investigation, identifying DeShawn Leandrei Allen as the suspect. Allen is a validated gang member from Richmond, California. Search warrants were executed at Allen’s residence, where evidence was found indicating communication with Urias Joram Hernandez Ochoa, owner of Oromax Pawn Shop in Richmond. The communications included photos of stolen items intended for sale at the pawn shop. Allen was arrested and charged with violations including burglary, grand theft, possession of burglary tools, vandalism, and receiving stolen property. He remains in custody. Additionally, a warrant at Oromax Pawn Shop led to the recovery of numerous stolen items, including cellular devices, laptops, and cameras. Hernandez Ochoa was arrested and later released on his own recognizance. Additional Victims Sought
The sheriff’s office has contacted over 140 victims, many from as far as Brooklyn, New York, and other East Coast locations. Some victims may have been traveling through the Bay Area when their property was stolen. Despite efforts, some stolen items lack serial numbers or have been cleaned of identifiable marks. We encourage victims to review seized items via this
