Quantech is seeking a qualified Space Systems Acquisition & Sustainment Advisor to provide expert-level support to the Space Systems Command (SSC)/SZ-BC. This organization is responsible for developing, integrating, testing, deploying, sustaining, and supporting operations for cutting-edge Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Defensive and Offensive Space Control (DSC/OSC) capabilities, and space test range assets. You will play a vital role in ensuring the success of multiple SSC/SZ-BC programs, as well as various other Space Force, Air Force, and mission partner initiatives. The organization handles highly classified Space Domain Awareness (SDA) systems, Defensive and Offensive Space Control (DSC/OSC) capabilities, and space test range assets, all crucial for current and future DoD operational needs. This environment requires a professional with a strong understanding of ground, near-space, space, and related operating systems. Additional Responsibilities:

Providing expert space acquisition, engineering, operations, and technical advice across all stages of the acquisition lifecycle. Supporting program acquisition efforts for advanced technology, future concepts, and integration activities. Advising and assisting the Government on critical cost, schedule, and performance issues. Drafting and revising JCIDS and acquisition documentation, including Initial Capability Documents, Interface Control Documents, Capability Development/Production/Requirements Documents, Milestone documentation, Acquisition Strategies, Analysis of Alternatives, Concept of Operations, Memorandums of Agreement/Understanding, Technical/Systems Requirement Documents, Defense Acquisition Board documentation, Technical Evaluations, System Specifications, enabling concepts, training materials, briefings, white papers, reports, and analysis results, ensuring compliance with Government guidance (e.g., MIL-STD). Preparing draft SME-level technical and programmatic status reports for individual programs or portfolios, as requested. Identifying areas for process improvement, providing actionable recommendations, and executing risk mitigation tasks. Assisting in building and maintaining a Government risk program, including risk identification, process definition, and detailed mitigation plans. Supporting the program manager on funding commitments, obligations, and expenditures, including earned value management and schedule analysis. Providing support for classified funding distribution and PPBE activities, including congressional reporting, fiscal planning, continuing resolutions, unfunded requirement development, end-of-year funding actions, and POM development. Offering expertise in Integrated Baseline Reviews/Business Financial Reviews to analyze contractor cost and schedule performance. Reviewing contractor reports for compliance, identifying discrepancies, recommending corrective actions, and tracking findings. Monitoring program schedules, acquisition implementation, and reporting shortfalls; providing risk assessments and updating acquisition reports. Advising on technical engagements, maintaining portfolio awareness, supporting integrated product teams, and assisting in source selections. Providing technical/operational insights for mission protection and C2 integration, developing analyses, audits, reviews, and liaising with program offices. Supporting modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) and architecture development, including defining mission area architectures and courses of action. Advising on software planning and development for spiral/agile acquisition programs. Maintaining a System Safety program per DoD safety instructions and guidance. Providing on-site support at defense contractors’ facilities as needed. Assisting in infrastructure planning and coordination, establishing capabilities at various locations (both unclassified and classified). Job Requirements

Minimum Yrs. Experience and/or Expertise:

10+ years of demonstrable experience with US Space Force programs and organizations. Experience with the DoD acquisition lifecycle and regulations (e.g., DoDI 5000.02). Strong understanding of JCIDS processes and acquisition documentation development. Salary range: $160,000 - $180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
