POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Team Members performing this job are responsible for duties related to the sanitation of the equipment and infrastructure of a ready-to-eat manufacturing plant. Duties include but are not limited to the cleaning of processing and packaging equipment to meet all proper sanitation requirements as required by the company. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (non-exclusive list): Remove all trash from the processing and packaging line after the end of production. Minor disassembly of equipment to gain access to hard to clean areas. Ability to mix and use chemicals required to clean the line. Ability to use various methods of cleaning, including use of water, steam, compressed air, brushes, rags, and chemicals. Be able to sweep, mop and dust all areas of the facility. Be able to clean bathrooms (toilets, sinks, walls, floors, empty trash cans). Be able to keep up with stocking bathrooms, break rooms and locker rooms. Keep up with the cleanliness of high traffic areas in the facility. Be able to work with people and work in teams. Be able to participate and give suggestions on how to improve your job, the plant, and the company. Be able to correctly swab clean equipment when cleaning assignment is completed to ensure adequate cleaning was achieved. Be aware and follow all food safety rules and procedures in the execution of the job. Be able to follow directions. Be able to come to work on time every day. Alert management of any urgent or emergency situations requiring immediate attention or approval. Perform any other duties assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Capable of performing routine math calculations including addition and subtraction for the correct concentration for chemicals for cleaning. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment when required by the type of cleaning, including face shields, goggles, steel-toed boots, aprons, safety glasses, chemical resistant gloves. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to reach areas only accessible by ladder. Must be able to climb to and perform repairs on equipment in hard-to-reach places. Be available to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Willing to comply with all Rose Acres'/EggLife's safety, quality, food safety, environmental, employment, and GMP policies.
