Overview Adjunct Instructor, Biology (North Campus)

at Broward College. This part-time position seeks a passionate educator and practitioner who can facilitate the needs of diverse 21st century learners preparing to practice in the biology field.

Responsibilities

Facilitate the needs of diverse 21st century learners preparing to practice in biology.

Demonstrate mastery of the discipline and apply technology and teaching strategies to foster 21st century literacies.

Use resources that prepare students for productive lives in biology.

Engage in active professional development and service to the Department and College; committee work is expected.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: A Master’s Degree in Biology or a Biological Science Subfield, or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Biology or a Biological Science Subfield. Ph.D. preferred.

Experience / Training

The successful candidate must have a high level of computer literacy and a commitment to teaching.

Maintain active professional development activities and service to the Department and College; committee work is expected.

All schedules require office hours and some may require evening and/or weekend hours.
