Sage Hospitality Group The Coachman Hotel is seeking their next Sales Manager! Meets and exceeds revenue goals by developing new accounts and growing current hotel accounts in a profitable and win-win selling approach. Direct Sales, New Account Development, Yield Management, Account Service and Management, Product Knowledge, Time Management are key focus areas for this role.
Responsibilities
Targets results-oriented high revenue potential sales calls to ensure a successful direct sales program, in accordance with goals established by department budget and marketing plan. Must have own reliable transportation and possess a valid state driver’s license in order to make sales calls.
Key Account Management: Maximizes current hotel key accounts by identifying and capturing those that offer revenue growth.
New Account Development: Captures competitor's accounts through networking, research and reader board surveys to target and solicit those most probable to generate new business.
Acquires referrals from existing accounts and follows up on all leads within 48 hours to create new business for the hotel, and, when appropriate, sends leads to other Sage hotels.
Plans and implements a targeted account development "hit list" to create new revenue and acquire valuable hotel contacts and contracts.
Continually targets and prospect for new business through telemarketing, creativity and innovation.
Utilizes yield management techniques by profitably negotiating room rates and function space commitments to enhance the hotel’s financial performance.
Maintains well-documented, accurate, organized and up-to-date file management to serve clients and employer efficiently.
Develops strong customer relationships through frequent communication and professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction.
Develops customer profiles and trace systems to best meet client needs, with prompt follow-up on all customer needs and inquiries.
Education/Formal Training
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Six months minimum in sales, customer service related position or hotel experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of general sales techniques and yield management experience.
Highly developed customer service skills; ability to hear, speak, read and write English fluently.
Strong business writing skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Ability to meet clients on and off premises, tour property and attend functions; ability to climb stairs and operate basic office equipment.
Strong internal and customer relationships, problem solving and decision making; openness to coaching and training.
Physical Demands
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Bending/kneeling, mobility to reach all areas of hotel, occasional standing, and occasional carrying of files up to 25 lbs.
