Job Description – Industrial/Mechanical Inside Sales
The Macomb Group, a recognized leading distributor in the Midwest for Pipe, Valve, and Fittings, is looking for a full-time inside sales representative with mechanical and industrial piping experience to prepare quotations and handle inside and counter sales responsibilities at our Charlotte, NC location. The Macomb Group differentiates itself by expanding operations to provide specialty services, a large inventory, energy-efficient solutions, and exceptional customer service. We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, self-driven individual to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
Responsible for answering phones
Taking orders from customers over the phone
Providing status of previous orders
Preparing quotations and bids
Computer data entry
Purchasing of non-stock items and backorders
Coordination of sales orders
Provide professional customer service to customers
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
One or two years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of both is preferred
Demonstrated trade experience and knowledge of mechanical and industrial piping applications
Able to project professionalism in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills
Motivated team player who takes initiative
Work Setting Charlotte, NC — Monday to Friday, day shift
