About This Opportunity
As part of establishing a Smart Factory within the U.S., we are seeking a Warehouse Material Preparation Lead to provide first-line support in leading the warehouse team and supporting production demand. Crucial aspects of this role include managing day-to-day warehouse operations, directing material flow, and preventing disruption to the supply chain. This role requires a leader who excels at directing workflow, process improvement, and facilitating inter-departmental collaboration.
What you will do
Act as the first point of contact for the MPA team concerning daily material delivery challenges.
Work closely with production and planning to ensure timely retrieval and Kanban delivery of Final Assembly components to the production line.
Ensure on-time retrieval and material setup for new product introduction (NPI, TPI, PVT) and verification projects.
Lead team meetings, assign daily tasks, and participate in operational meetings to align with production goals.
Monitor and drive team performance, including training, appraising, addressing complaints, and solving problems.
Remove roadblocks for the team and elevate unresolved issues to the supervisor.
Identify trends, generate reports (daily/weekly productivity and accuracy), and propose opportunities for continuous improvement.
Maintain and observe the 5S program to support lean manufacturing goals.
Adhere to all safety and quality procedures, drive compliance, and immediately report all incidents of non-compliance.
Utilize multiple software systems to govern the movement of automated material handling equipment (AGV, AMR, & automated systems).
Able to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, grasp, push, and pull for 10-12 hours in addition to lifting or moving 30–50 lbs.
The skills you bring
High school diploma or GED required.
Operational leadership experience in a warehouse/logistics lead role, focused on material prep, Kanban/kitting, and supervising a mid-sized team. Exposure to NPI/TPI/PVT builds is required.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Proven continuous-improvement mindset with documented ability to identify trends and implement 5S/lean improvements that boost throughput and accuracy (Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus).
Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS/ERP), MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and familiarity with warehouse automation (AGV/AMR).
Demonstrated capability as a people manager and coach, skilled in task assignment, performance reviews, resolving employee concerns, and sustaining morale.
Safety- and quality-focused with strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and compliance requirements.
Forklift certification may be required, depending on specific job duties.
Availability to work any of the following shifts, to be determined at time of hire:
7am‑7pm Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday
7pm‑7am Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday
7am‑7pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday
