Overview
Safety & Security Officer - Full Time (3rd Shift) at Q Center. The Safety & Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and associates. This position will patrol the property, monitor surveillance equipment, perform building inspections, verify guests and visitors at the Welcome Point, and staff the Command Center. The officer remains alert to emergency situations and provides first-line response, emergency management, and escalation as needed. The schedule is 10:45pm – 7:15am; days vary. Starting rate: $18.00/hour. Responsibilities
Patrol designated areas in accordance with outlined procedures. Monitor surveillance equipment and security technology systems. Perform building inspections and Welcome Point screening of guests and visitors; provide directions and maintain logs. Staff the Command Center; dispatch personnel, monitor fire alarm and CCTV systems, manage access control tasks, monitor weather station, and issue keys and radios. Respond to life safety emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate. Rekey meeting room locks and maintain security controls for issued keys/radios. Identify security risks, report irregularities, and escalate emergency situations as needed. Complete required documentation; ensure timely reporting of incidents and emergencies. Be familiar with evacuation, shelter-in-place, and relocation procedures. Qualifications
High School diploma preferred. Previous security work experience preferred. Valid driver’s license. Certified in CPR/AED/First Aid or ability to obtain certification. Flexible with hours; ability to work long or irregular shifts; comfortable walking for extended periods; capable of standing for an entire shift; ability to respond within three minutes to life safety emergencies.
