Job Title: Post Doctoral Scholar - Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Medicine | IM Medical Oncology Location: Olentangy River Rd, 3650 (2520) Position Type: Term (Fixed Term) Scheduled Hours: 40 Shift: First Shift Responsibilities
Post Doctoral Scholar to pursue specialized research training and experience under the guidance of a scientific mentor; conducts research related to supportive care, including but not limited to pain, in individuals with cancer. Additional areas of focus may include prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of substance use and use disorders in people with cancer, behavioral intervention development/testing, and implementation science. Responsibilities may also include participating in qualitative interviews and analyses, participating in other study design and analysis, preparing manuscripts and grants, and training others (e.g., students, staff) in relevant methods and procedures. Qualifications
Doctoral Degree in an appropriate discipline is required. Previous experience in clinical research is desirable, particularly patient-oriented research. Additional Information
The OSUCCC – James is the only cancer program in the United States that features a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center aligned with a nationally ranked academic medical center and a freestanding cancer hospital on the campus of one of the nation’s largest public universities.
