Job Summary
As an
Assistant Front Office Manager , you will help lead the Front Office team in providing outstanding guest experiences through thoughtful arrivals, smooth check-ins, and efficient departures. You’ll support team development, daily operations, and performance management while ensuring that service standards, financial objectives, and guest satisfaction goals are consistently met. Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support the Front Desk team to ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to Hyatt standards. Maintain visibility in the lobby to personally greet guests, resolve service issues, and ensure an exceptional guest experience. Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training team members to uphold Hyatt’s service standards and provide coaching to enhance performance. Monitor and manage departmental budgets, expenses, and payroll while ensuring accuracy in billing, payment methods, and cash handling procedures. Review daily arrival reports, verify expected check-ins, and communicate with other departments to anticipate guest needs and special requests. Review guest satisfaction scores, identify service opportunities, and implement strategies to improve overall performance. Ensure all required reports are completed accurately and distributed promptly to department leaders. Support hotel emergency procedures and ensure the safety and security of guests and team members. Work closely with other departments, including Housekeeping, Engineering, and Food & Beverage, to ensure a seamless guest experience. Serve as acting manager in the absence of the Front Office Manager, handling escalations and supporting cross-departmental needs. Qualifications
Minimum two years of hotel front desk or guest services experience, with prior supervisory or assistant management experience preferred. College degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred. Proven leadership and team development skills. Strong financial acumen and understanding of budgeting processes. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management systems (Opera experience preferred). Demonstrated success in guest satisfaction and service recovery. Ability to remain composed and professional in high-pressure situations. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. Physical & Safety Requirements
