Safety Coordinator . Job Location:

Newton, IA What you’ll do:

Partner with plant and safety management to plan, lead, and participate in safety meetings. Implement, inspect, and maintain SDS manuals for job sites and offices. Train employees on SDS procedures. Provide safety signage, barriers, and materials to warn of hazards and prevent access to dangerous areas. Maintain all facility-specific EHS programs. Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to OSHA, EPA, and best practices. Determine and follow up on corrective or preventive measures. Conduct safety inspections to ensure procedures are current and effective. Advise management on hazards, employee training, equipment operation, and safe material use. Maintain SDS programs, manage hazardous materials, and review samples and tests. Distribute safety communications promptly. Promote a positive work atmosphere through effective communication. Communicate regularly with leadership and corporate safety teams. Keep training records updated. What you’ll need:

Bachelor’s degree in safety science, management, industrial hygiene, environmental science, occupational health, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. 1-3 years of work experience in manufacturing or industrial settings. EMT and/or firefighter experience is preferred. Certifications such as CSP, CIH, ASP, GSP are preferred. Knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, EPA, and workers' compensation regulations. Ability to handle sensitive information and prioritize tasks. Strong organizational skills and decision-making abilities. Working Conditions:

Work in plant, warehouse, and outdoor areas. May require additional hours, shifts, and weekend work. Tolerance of high/low temperatures and loud noises. Safety Activities:
