MGX Field Crane Technicians

are responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various crane equipment including mobile cranes and boom trucks. This position will be located at the Baltimore, Maryland branch and report to the Service Manager. Responsibilities

Operate and inspect cranes to diagnose defects. Demonstrate working knowledge of CANBUS, PAT, EKS, ECOS, and MEGA-TRACK systems. Inspect parts for damage or wear using micrometers and gauges. Read, understand, and interpret operating/parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings. Test mechanical, electronic, electrical, and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specifications. Prepare for jobs by checking parts and drawings for accuracy and completeness. Work independently without direct supervision. Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections. Complete working reports, hours reports, time sheets, hours overviews, and expense reports accurately. Provide excellent customer service. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements

High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Mechanic/Technician. Experience with mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT & TMS Cranes; Grove GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc EPIC and/or Traditional Cranes; National Boom Trucks preferred. Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to job sites and for training. Excellent communication skills with a customer/client focus. Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record. Basic computer skills preferred. Health & Safety Requirements

Perform job functions in a safe manner. Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required by company policy for the job being performed. Follow established job-specific and facility-wide safety and health procedures and rules. Participate in safety and health training and demonstrate competency based on training received. Raise safety concerns or correct unsafe acts, and bring safety issues to management's attention. Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with typical working hours between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm. Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions. The role requires exposure to elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, and loud noises. Physical requirements include frequent lifting up to 40 pounds and occasional climbing, kneeling, bending, and crawling. This position offers a pay range between $25.00 - $45.00 per hour depending on skills and qualifications for non-bargaining employees. Pay is provided on a bi-weekly basis.
