Prior to employment all candidates must successfully complete the District's clearance process, which includes: drug/alcohol testing, physical and back evaluation.
Function:
Under supervision, drive a school bus and/or drive other District vehicles; operate assigned bus in a clean and safe condition; and perform related duties as required. This is a permanent position upon successful completion of a 6 month probationary period. Before the end of the six-month probationary period, all drivers must hold a California School Bus License with either no restrictions, or an automatic transmission restriction only. The new three-year collective bargaining agreement includes salary changes as described below, subject to ratification: 2026–2027: Salary schedule increase of 60% of the statutory funded COLA, plus any funded ongoing augmentations; 2% off-schedule payment at year-end pending ratification. 2027–2028: Salary schedule increase of 50% of the statutory funded COLA, plus any funded ongoing augmentations; 2% off-schedule payment at year-end pending ratification.
