Water & Wastewater Engineer
to join our Plymouth Meeting, PA team. The role will lead small teams and work closely with Senior Project Managers to complete civil engineering projects in the Water & Waste Water field with a strong emphasis on plant work. Projects include the design of public facilities like water lines and sewer lines, water and sewer pump stations, treatment plant improvements, and planning documents associated with water and sewer systems.
Responsibilities
Lead small teams from preliminary project layout to bidding
Prepare projects for construction management by an adjacent team at Atlas
Work with the support of a Senior Project Manager
Develop project solutions to client needs
Attend client-facing meetings for projects and opportunities
Remain alert to additional project opportunities at existing clients
Mentor younger staff by providing tasks commensurate with their experience level
Increase understanding of local ordinances and design standards
Minimum Requirements
Professional Engineering License or ability to acquire within six months of employment
Very strong attention to detail and engineering ethics
Willingness to expand personal engineering knowledge
Ability to prepare plan and specification packages required for project completion
Ability to obtain various permits required for project completion
Knowledge of engineering design standards and their importance
Familiarity with Autodesk software packages (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, ReCap, etc.)
Knowledge of Pennsylvania municipal government systems
4-8 years of project leadership experience
