Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
Position purpose:
Adjunct faculty will support the Legal Studies Program by teaching/developing relevant courses including skills courses (legal writing, trial procedure, appellate advocacy) and doctrinal courses.
Job functions:
Teach up to 9 credit hours per semester. Create syllabus and timeline of classes, for students per semester. Provide meeting time for students. Manage online grading system. Submit book orders, if textbooks required. Abide by all relevant university and/or departmental procedures and policies. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Knowledge of the programs and services offered by Belmont University. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
Required Education JD Preferred
Required Experience
Prior teaching experience preferred (higher education or CLE).
The selected candidate will be required to complete a background check satisfactory to the University.
