The Garage Door Technician serves as a sales and service technician for garage doors, garage door openers, and related components. The technician provides multiple recommendations for repair and replacement, sells services, and interacts with customers daily, ensuring excellent customer service. Most work involves existing garage doors and opener systems. Work is assigned by the call center or Customer Experience Specialist (CXS), with issues referred to the Branch Manager. The Technician is the first support contact for customers and is expected to maintain a neat appearance and respectful attitude. Key Responsibilities
Repair garage doors and openers upon request. Provide estimates for remodel and repair bids. Participate in safety meetings and training. Learn basic repair and maintenance skills for garage doors and openers. Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues. Review work orders and invoices for accuracy. Collect payments upon job completion. Promote company products and services. Maintain vehicle readiness and restock supplies. Assist with unloading trucks and maintain accurate time records. Perform secondary tasks as assigned by the Branch Manager. Requirements
Knowledge of garage door materials, methods, and tools. Sales skills, including product demonstration and closing deals. Ability to measure, estimate materials, and assess mechanical issues. Excellent customer service and communication skills. High school diploma or GED, with garage door industry experience preferred. Proven sales experience, preferably in garage doors. Flexible schedule, valid driver’s license, and ability to sit for extended periods. Core Competencies

Work may be indoors or outdoors with exposure to various environmental conditions and hazards. Physical Requirements
Ability to perform medium to heavy work, lifting up to 100 lbs., and carrying up to 50 ft. Compensation
This is a commission-based role with an average earning potential of $80,000–$140,000 annually, based on performance. Training is paid at $20.00 to $22.00 per hour for the first 12 weeks. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, and 401(k). Additional Details
