Polysomnographic Technologist - MOB OP Sleep Center - PRN - Nights
Be among the first 25 applicants Job Description This position will be scheduled approximately 12 hours per week and will be located in the Sleep Center at The Christ Hospital Health Network (TCHHN) Medical Office Building at 2132 Auburn Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45219. Responsibilities Performs Multiple Sleep Latency Test, Maintenance of Wakefulness test, Parasomnia studies, PAP, Oxygen titration, and collects appropriate data for physician review. Implements necessary interventions for patient safety and therapeutic needs, including continuous and bi-level positive airway pressures and oxygen administration. Prepares and calibrates testing equipment, ensuring proper function, and notifies Clinical Engineering if service is needed. Applies electrodes and sensors according to standards, performs physiologic calibrations, and adjusts signals as necessary. Explains pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures to patients to ensure understanding. Registers, discharges patients, and completes all required documentation. Follows 'light out' and 'light on' procedures to establish baseline values and documents observations according to standards. Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge and Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent; Registered Technologists in sleep medicine; 2 years of experience; proficient in polysomnographic and scoring technologies. Licenses & Certifications:
