Overview Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) Nocturnal- ED/ICC at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. The APP provides health care services to patients within the parameters of a standard care agreement or supervisory organization with an attending physician member of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with a physician and other clinicians to provide a full scope of patient care.

Focuses on preventive health and the management of acute and/or stable chronic conditions.

Performs medical services as authorized and directed by the credentialing body and the certifying organization through which licensure is held.

Provides health care services to patients in collaboration with a licensed physician; includes care during acute and chronic phases of illness, education and counseling of individuals and families, health promotion and prevention, and referral to other healthcare providers and community resources when appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications

Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN in the State of Ohio; graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program eligible to sit for a national certification examination recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing; Master’s Degree in Nursing.

OR: Master’s prepared; graduate of a PA-C program eligible to sit for the NCCPA certification examination; eligibility for State of Ohio licensure as a PA-C.

1 year of relevant experience preferred.
