Overview
A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the Laboratory of Dr. Yiwen Chen in the Department of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. By utilizing integrative computational and multi-omic (genomic, epigenomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic) approaches, the long-term goal of Chen lab is to decipher the cell signaling, stress responses, epigenetic and epitranscriptomic and RNA-based regulation mechanism underlying pathogenesis in cancer. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be co-mentored by Dr. Yiwen Chen and Dr. Xi Chen at MD Anderson Cancer Center working on stress responses in tumor microenvironment. Responsibilities
Conduct bioinformatics analysis and data analysis. Prepare manuscripts and attend lab meetings, journal clubs, and research seminars. Merge mechanistic insights with translational objectives of experimental therapeutics and stratifications of genetic biomarkers to address unmet clinical needs in cancer therapy. Train in study design, data analysis, and manuscript writing. Qualifications
Background and working knowledge in genomics data analysis, immunology, and cancer biology. A strong sense of curiosity and passion for science. Required Education: PhD in immunology, cancer biology or a related field. Position information
MD Anderson offers full-time postdoc positions with a salary ranging from $64,000 to $76,000, depending on years of postgraduate experience.
