Kenyon College invites applications for the position of Part-Time Assistant Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach. This is a part-time, non-benefits position that assists in various facets of the NCAA D-III Men’s and Women’s Tennis program in accordance with NCAA, NCAC, and Kenyon College policies and regulations. It is expected that the Part-Time Assistant Tennis Coach will support the department mission of fostering learning and developing community with a focus on citizenship, competition, resiliency, sportsmanship, and teamwork within Kenyon’s campus culture. This is a part-time position without benefits. Responsibilities

Assist the Head Coaches of the men’s and women’s teams in all aspects, as needed. Be a contributing and positive member of the Kenyon Athletic Department and Student Affairs Division. Represent Kenyon in a positive and enthusiastic light. Teach the basic fundamentals of the game in a manner that complements the head coaches’ instruction. Other expectations

Serve as a member of the Athletics, Fitness and Recreation team, providing leadership, goals, and program implementation at a fully residential campus housing 1800 undergraduates. Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with student affairs colleagues, faculty, and other campus partners to achieve shared objectives. Demonstrate commitment to and compliance with College and Department policies, NCAC and NCAA rules, bylaws, and regulations. Commit to the Athletics’ student-athlete handbook and the Student Affairs and College mission statements. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required. Demonstrated experience instructing on the rules and fundamentals of the sport. Collegiate playing experience. CPR, First Aid and AED Certification is required (can be completed after hire). Working conditions

Some heavy lifting or moving equipment is required. Non-traditional schedule: early mornings, days, late evenings, weekends; work during college breaks and summers may be required. Travel for athletic contests, recruiting, coaches meetings and conference attendance is required. Ability to obtain College driver certification is necessary. Additional information
