The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects thousands of students with online Microeconomics tutors nationwide. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home. Responsibilities
Set base contract rates (start at $18/hour) and earn higher pay for specialized subjects and with the same student over time (up to $40/hour). Get paid up to twice per week. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. Tutor remotely using the Live Learning Platform—no commuting required. Be matched with students who fit your teaching style and expertise. Utilize the AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to save prep time and focus on teaching. Manage invoicing and payments with Varsity Tutors handling the processing. What We Look For In a Tutor
Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Expertise in Microeconomics and the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Priority given to those with tutoring experience, teaching experience, and graduate-level education.
