Overview
The Department of Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center invites applications for
two tenure-track faculty positions
at the rank of
Assistant or Associate Professor . Successful candidates are expected to establish and maintain an externally funded
research program in basic or translational immunology
and contribute to our collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
We welcome applications from accomplished early- to mid-career scientists (PhD, MD, or MD/PhD) with strong postdoctoral training and expertise in immunology.
Areas of interest
Fundamental mechanisms of innate and adaptive immunity
Host-commensal and host-pathogen interactions (bacterial, viral, or fungal)
Mucosal immunology
and barrier defense (gut, lung, skin, reproductive tract)
Immune dysregulation in cancer, autoimmunity, cardiovascular, renal, metabolic, or other human diseases
Translational models leveraging genetics, multi-omics, or imaging approaches
Facilities and opportunities The University of Mississippi Medical Center offers state-of-the-art core facilities (genomics, mass spectrometry, flow cytometry, and high-resolution imaging microscopy), competitive salaries, and startup funds.
