Bridgeway Community Health is currently seeking a qualified
Substance Abuse Counselor
to join our growing outpatient treatment team. A sign‑on bonus of $3,000 will be available to the successful external candidate. Responsibilities
Substance Abuse Counselors build an alliance with clients by providing education, motivation, and client‑centered care utilizing evidence‑based and trauma‑informed services. They use motivational interviewing techniques to establish therapeutic rapport, conduct assessment interviews using the ASAM and DSM‑5, provide evidence‑based therapeutic interventions, facilitate evidence‑based groups, and conduct individual counseling sessions. Qualifications
Associate’s Degree or higher in Human Services or related field from an accredited college or university. One to three years of drug & alcohol addiction counseling experience. CADC I or higher required. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong computer and time management skills. Advanced understanding of ASAM PPC‑2R and DSM‑5 required. Intermediate understanding of Oregon Administrative Rules preferred. Qualified candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check. Benefits
