Job Summary: The Coordinator Prospect Research plays a vital role in advancing NCH’s philanthropic mission by identifying and analyzing potential donors, individuals, foundations, and corporations, whose values align with our commitment to patient-centered care, innovation, and community wellness. This position provides strategic insights and research support that empower the philanthropy team to cultivate meaningful relationships and secure transformational gifts. LOCATION: 350 7th Street North, Naples, FL, 34102 | WORK TYPE: Full Time | WORK SCHEDULE: Standard Office Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Manager of Prospect Research, conduct biographical, financial, and philanthropic research utilizing various research tools, databases, and publicly available information to assist in preparing profiles on potential major gift and high-level annual gift prospects. Respond in a timely manner to all research inquiries including contact information, financial assets, potential for philanthropic support, business and professional affiliations, areas of interest and other Hospital affiliations. Analyze donor trends, wealth indicators, and giving behavior to assess donor capacity, affinity, and inclination. Write and edit succinct and informative prospect profiles and present information in a manner consistent with department standards. Proactively identify, research, and analyze new and existing donors and prospects for gift cultivation, with an emphasis on major and principally rated prospects for key funding interest areas. Contribute to the development and maintenance of a robust prospect pipeline by identifying new prospects from First Time Donor reports and wealth screenings. Assist Manager of Prospect Research with confirming wealth indicators and data point results from wealth screenings. Assist with annual refresh of ratings and key information on our most important donors and prospects. Prepare event profiles to be distributed to key NCH representatives for high-level events. Maintain comprehensive and well-documented research records in Raiser's Edge. Ensure data accuracy of prospect assignments, research profiles, individual wealth ratings, and financial information. Monitor periodicals for relevant data on prospects; circulate to appropriate end-users and update database. Ensure department compliance with HIPAA and other federally and state required data policies/best practices. Stay abreast of existing and newly developed research resources to ensure efficient, accurate, and complete capacity ratings and prospect profiles for use by colleagues and NCH leadership. Education, Experience And Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, library science, or a related field required. Minimum 2 years of experience in information management and analyzing data in the areas of administration, fundraising, research, data maintenance or related field. Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to produce error free work when performing a variety of functions such as typing, editing, data entry, file management, and calculations in a timely manner. Ability to locate and interpret financial and biographical information on current or prospective donors from a variety of sources. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. High level of productivity and initiative and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in research tools and donor databases (e.g., Raiser\'s Edge, iWave, DonorSearch) as well as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to work with minimal supervision along with a willingness to ask questions to clarify assignments and accept supervisor’s guidance.
