Base pay range

Legis1 is located in North Bethesda and maintains a presence on Capitol Hill. POSITION We are looking for an Account Executive to drive sales for Legis1, our legislative and congressional intelligence platform, and other legislative products. The ideal candidate will engage with organizations that both impact and are impacted by public policy including corporations, the government affairs industry, Congress, Federal Agencies, the Executive Branch, and Embassies with the goal of growing Legis1 subscribership. Your responsibilities will include managing the full sales cycle, from business development and demonstrating the Legis1, to closing deals. Your primary focus will be increasing Legis1 subscribership by developing an understanding of potential clients needs and demonstrating how Legis1 is the best tool to help them accomplish their goals. A strong interest in government and technology along with sales and/or account management experience, is essential for success in this role. Legis1 Inc. Qualify and respond to inbound leads and prospects via phone and email Conduct virtual and in-person demonstrations of Legis1 Prospect new sales opportunities by reaching out to corporations, Congress, federal agencies, embassies, and the executive branch Leveraging in-person networking and business development strategies to secure demos Gather and communicate client information regarding their needs, budgets, and timelines Organize regular client meetings to ensure exceptional account management Collaborate with key decision-makers to identify opportunities and create strategies that drive sales results Attend trade shows, networking events, and facilitate customer events Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in a web-based CRM system
REQUIREMENTS
Genuine interest in the mission of Legis1 Previous sales experience is mandatory Strong relationship-building skills with a focus on account growth Ability to work independently and develop sales opportunities Desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment Exceptional organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Familiarity with databases and subscription products Preferred experience in sales related to government, politics, policy, or advocacy, including roles in political campaigns or lobbying firms Self-motivated, results-oriented individual eager to contribute to a growing team Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
