The Consultancy PR is a dynamic brand communications practice that merges the sophisticated, senior-level execution of a big agency with the more personalized approach and entrepreneurial spirit of a boutique firm. The firm’s clients represent the best-in-class brands and individuals within the home/design, architecture, and luxury lifestyle categories. TCPR is seeking an Account Executive with a minimum of two years of experience to support its current client roster. An ideal candidate will have previous experience and/or a personal interest in the interior design, architecture, luxury lifestyle industries, or adjacent categories, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit and desire to grow with the company. ROLES + RESPONSIBILITIES Execute communication strategies to position a range of home/design and lifestyle brands in the media marketplace. Retain a network of media contacts across print and digital categories, as well as bloggers. Create targeted media lists (in tandem with the Account Coordinator) and conduct press outreach to secure media opportunities, including press coverage in home/design, fashion (men’s and women’s), accessories, lifestyle, consumer and business outlets on a national and regional level, in print and digital categories. Research and conduct proactive outreach to bloggers and social media influencers for partnership and/or event opportunities. Contribute to story angle development, daily product placement, and media tracking. Coordinate logistics and manage guest lists for targeted press events to support seasonal launches, brand introductions, dinner/cocktail events, etc. Interface with clients daily as relevant to press opportunities, event management, sample traffic/loans, media monitoring, etc. Draft press materials, inclusive of press releases, company/executive bios, media alerts, case studies, etc. Demonstrate an understanding of how to prioritize duties, meet deadlines, proactively communicate progress and deliverables. Complete individual tasks with minimal supervision; manage both up and down to the team. Attend and facilitate media interviews/editor appointments; network with reporters and editors on a regular basis. Read relevant consumer and trade media, including print digital publications as well as blogs; report to the team on industry news and opportunities for clients on a regular basis. Keep up-to-date on key editorial calendars and ensure these are built into larger PR plans. Oversee (in tandem with Account Coordinator) daily account management duties, including meeting planning, reviewing recaps and agendas. Report to Account Director as well as senior leadership; supervise and mentor PR Coordinator on account management, research, daily projects, etc. Requirements:
B.S/B.A in Public Relations/Communications or related field. Minimum two years of experience at a PR agency. Relationships within the home/design, lifestyle, fashion as well as digital and regional media on both a national and regional level a plus. Exceptional interpersonal, networking and verbal and written communications skills; team-oriented attitude. Creative, efficient, detail-oriented and organized. Positive, can-do attitude. Solution-oriented with the ability to think critically and strategically. Proactive with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative, yet fast-paced, environment. Flexible, driven, curious and passionate about the design industry. Excellent writing skills with attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
