Revenue Manager - Remote
Location: US-NY-New York; Property: New York City Growth - Highgate Hotels
Compensation: USD $95,000.00/Yr. – USD $110,000.00/Yr.; Compensation Type: Yearly

Overview The Revenue Manager is responsible for identifying and maximizing all potential revenue opportunities for the hotel. In today’s lodging environment, understanding channel and yield management is critical for maximizing revenues. The Revenue Manager is responsible for formulating long- and short-term Revenue Management strategies and overseeing their successful execution towards advancing RevPAR market share. This includes analyzing revenue potential generated by the transient and group segments, market segmentation within those segments, and integrating catering, space utilization, and other revenue considerations to determine the optimal mix of business.
Responsibilities
Establish hotel pricing levels in all segments.
Manage daily room inventory and pricing processes.
Monitor competitor rates and market dynamics; present action plans to management.
Communicate occupancy fluctuations to operational departments to adjust staffing and efficiency.
Analyze local events and activities to project opportunities.
Use macro- and micro-economic variables to forecast room revenue accurately.
Perform unconstrained demand analysis to determine optimal business mix.
Prepare short- and long-term forecasts (Weekly, 30/60/90, monthly, and full year).
Evaluate opportunities for contracted business (group, wholesale, corporate, etc.) with fast response and profit focus.
Maintain software programs for revenue management (CRS, RMS, PMS, Sales & Catering).
Monitor RevPAR index and provide weekly/monthly performance analysis.
Prepare annual Rooms revenue budget.
Lead weekly Revenue Strategy meetings; revisit decisions to evaluate effectiveness.
Prepare and present quarterly reports to ownership.
Ensure distribution channels have correct content and pricing.
Maintain relationships with Third Party Intermediaries and other market revenue managers.
Coordinate activities to advance revenue potential with marketing and service opportunities.
Develop subordinates through training and participation in industry events.
Manage Internet Marketing efforts (PPC, email blasts, GDS advertising).
Set and communicate sales strategy for day, week, month, and rolling 12 months.
Update calendars and communicate strategy changes to the sales team.
Review prior-night performance and adjust opportunities accordingly.
Test rate quoting accuracy with Central Reservation Office (CRO) and property.
Manage group cut-off dates and pickup reports; review block vs. actual performance.
Update Daily Market Segment Analysis (DMSA) and compare actual vs potential performance.
Complete month-end reports with detailed analysis and action plans if needed.
Review Hotelligence reports for trends, windows of opportunity, and rate comparisons.
Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience in Revenue Management as a manager or senior analyst.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Hotel or Hospitality Management or closely related field.
In-depth knowledge of industry reports such as STR, Hotelligence, Market Vision, etc.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work quickly in a high-pressure environment and to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
Strong time management, attention to detail, and follow-up skills.
Flexible with long hours as needed.
Maintain a warm, friendly demeanor and provide attentive, service-oriented interactions with staff and guests.
Effective listening skills to understand concerns and respond appropriately.
Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
Participate in required meetings and on-duty coverage as needed; maintain regular attendance per hotel standards.
Maintain professional appearance and adhere to hotel standards and confidentiality requirements.
Ability to analyze complex information from various sources to meet objectives.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
