Responsibilities: Oversee accounts payable on a daily basis, ensuring accurate processing and approval workflows. Manage all general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close processes. Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies. Match transactions in QuickBooks to corresponding entries, including credit card and bank transactions. Manage corporate credit card and bank account activity, including ACH approvals, positive pay, and weekly cash flow reporting. Prepare variance analyses by department and review results monthly with department heads. Collaborate with leadership to develop and monitor annual and monthly budgets, as well as forecasts. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external stakeholders. Assist with annual audit preparation and coordination. Maintain compliance with GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, and applicable regulations. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a lead or manager-level role. Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting practices and GAAP. Must have experience in QuickBooks and advanced knowledge of Excel. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate across departments.
