Controller – Austin, TX – $120,000–$130,000
At BB Imaging, we’re expanding access to high-quality ultrasound services. We are looking for a Controller to lead finance and accounting operations and shape financial strategy while ensuring accurate reporting, effective controls, and financial strength.
What You’ll Do
Lead Accounting Operations: Oversee daily accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
Financial Close & Reporting: Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes, prepare consolidated reports, and deliver timely financial insights to leadership.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with executive leadership on budget vs. actuals, rolling forecasts, and cash flow planning.
Compliance & Tax: Ensure GAAP compliance, oversee multi‑state payroll and sales tax filings, and coordinate with external tax advisors.
Audit & Banking: Lead relationships with audit firms, banks, and other external financial partners.
Cash Management: Review and approve weekly cash flow reports to ensure liquidity and address issues proactively.
Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls, policies, and financial systems.
Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, and develop finance staff.
Process Improvement: Identify efficiencies, implement new tools, and enhance workflows to scale with company growth.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
10+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with at least 5 years in a Controller or senior leadership capacity.
Strong technical accounting expertise and knowledge of GAAP and multi‑state compliance requirements.
Experience in healthcare, professional services, or growth‑oriented companies a plus.
Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
Proven ability to lead teams, implement process improvements, and manage cross‑functional relationships.
