Assistant Segment Controller
to support daily financial analysis for Manufacturing, Operations, and Management decisions across the segment, and to collaborate with the Segment Controller and business partners to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with regulatory and accounting guidelines under the supervision of the Controller. Assist in reviewing the monthly balance sheet and profit-and-loss statements. Assist with monthly closing and production of financial statements to guarantee timely reporting. Review financial statements to ensure information reported properly reflects the company’s financial position. Assist with budget preparation and income forecasting. Accumulate data for the preparation of the monthly financial review with corporate finance. Assist with daily reporting to corporate finance. Ensure compliance to financial aspects of internal controls. Prepare, verify, and control the entering of journal entries to the general ledger. Understand manufacturing variances and speak with management providing direction for process changes. Support sales teams in maintaining the quote management system and quote process. Perform internal control testing. Prepare and understand cost models and translate to financial statement impact. Manage and control discretionary spend. Perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner. Complies with all Environmental Health & Safety rules. Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum 5 years financial analyst work experience. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in Business or Accounting (preferred). Financial experience working in a manufacturing environment. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and oral form. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Self-starter; experience with querying databases; excellent analytical skills. Experience with cost accounting and internal collaboration with Business Partners. Ability to meet critical and tight deadlines and to forecast and present data to upper-level management. Compliance experience within an internal control environment; monitoring and interpreting financial results. About Us
