Accountant II
to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience with general ledger, fixed assets and inventory, worked with ERP systems and at least 4 years of accounting experience. The
Accountant II
position is an onsite role. This is a client direct hire position. Accountant II Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Accurately record and maintain financial transactions. Act as a key contributor to the preparation and reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Maintain accounting records and perform regular account reconciliations. Monitor capital expenditures and lead periodic fixed asset audits across various locations. Prepare and analyze financial reports as part of the budgeting process, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Assist in budget development and forecasting activities. Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks. Manage and analyze cost of sales to enhance efficiency and profitability. Track and report on freight, duties, and taxes, recommending areas for improvement. Provide cost data for product lines to determine production costs and explain variances to management. Review financial transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant policies. Support external auditors by preparing documentation and providing necessary information for annual audits. File tax forms with applicable federal, state, and local agencies. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls. Collaborate with various departments and locations on accounting matters. Assist with internal and external audit requests by providing account analyses and supporting documentation. Prepare schedules for tax reporting. Support cross-functional teams including Order Processing, Sales, Warehousing, Logistics, and Customer Service. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting or related financial roles. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation processes. Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, standards, laws, and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS. Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create Pivot Tables and use lookup functions for data analysis. At least 3 years’ experience with fully integrated ERP systems. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Preferred
Experience with ERP platforms similar to MS Navision. Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus but not required. Strong organizational skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Effective written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting at all organizational levels. Proficiency in preparing tax reports accurately. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Familiarity with foreign currency transactions and financial translation. Core Competencies
