Day Shift Description
The Billing Analyst is responsible for a variety of tasks and activities related to billing for durable medical equipment and supplies, including order processing, insurance verification, authorizations, accounts receivable, invoicing, and related duties. Provides support to ChelseaCare HME (CCHME) colleagues and assists the HME Manager with logistical needs. Qualifications
Minimum
high school education; excellent verbal and written communication skills; computer experience required. Billing experience is preferred. This position is 100% onsite; no remote option. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Maintain good rapport and cooperative relationships; address conflicts constructively; assist in identifying problems and contributing to their resolution. Maintain confidentiality of patient, physician, employee, and visitor information; discuss information only among appropriate personnel in private places. Maintain knowledge to perform job duties; perform duties safely and report hazards to management. Demonstrate self-directed learning and alignment with Mission, Vision and Values. Provide quality patient care by considering age, development, and cultural needs; demonstrate unit/area competencies. Identify and help resolve safety, sanitation, and maintenance issues in the environment. Practice effective communication with patients, visitors, and coworkers; promote a positive work environment and teamwork. Process accounts receivable for equipment and services; verify orders for completeness and accuracy prior to claims submission; process monthly patient statements and initiate collections. Review updates on insurance and governmental guidelines and regulations. Process physician orders, check insurance coverage and eligibility, provide financial quotes to patients, and obtain insurance authorizations. Triage incoming faxes and route to appropriate personnel or file documents in patient records. Monitor and resolve issues in software work queues (e.g., incorrect orders, missing orders, CMN expiry). Provide customer service for billing issues; contribute to cost containment initiatives. Required Education, Experience And Certification/Licensure
