Position Overview
Join a dynamic, growing company with its corporate headquarters in Kent, Ohio. Our client seeks an accountant for its Financial Accounting department. This position will be primarily responsible for month end close, preparation of management financial statements, monthly journal entries, cash related items, reconciliations of various general ledger accounts and assisting with external auditor requests.
Responsibilities
Participate in month end close processes
Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts monthly
Daily cash reporting/positive pay transmissions
Preparation of monthly management financial statements
Preparation and posting of monthly journal entries
Monthly cash reconciliations
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration
4+ years of accounting experience
Able to work independently and part of a team
Excellent organization, problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to absorb and retain information quickly and a strong desire to learn
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
SAP/S4 is a plus
Detail oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
